Festival a success

The Over the Moonbah festival has come to a successful close, with harmony, history and multiculturalism having been celebrated in the Snowy Mountains area.

The highlight of the festival was, of course, the Friendship Flights over Jindabyne and Mt Kosciuszko on Sunday. A number of lucky participants - of Australian, Aboriginal and Polish backgrounds - took part in the aerial adventure.

Other features of the weekend included the colourful performances of the various ethnic groups - such as the Polish folkloric ensembles Lajkonik and Kujawy, the Celtic Pipers Band representatives (Lynn and Darryl), and Cabaret Vis a Vis - as well as individual artists, such as the Polish didgeridoo maker Arkadiusz Buczek, the singer Jolanta Komincz-Howe, and the pianists Olivia Urbaniak and Krzysztof Malek, among others.

Here is a selection of photographs from the festival. More will be available soon.
