Logo unveiled for 2017 celebrations

The official logo for next year’s celebrations of the bicentenary of Tadeusz Kosciuszko’s death has been unveiled.

The logo was designed by three committee members: Ernestyna Skurjat-Kozek, Andrzej Kozek and Lukasz Swiatek.

It will be used in Kosciuszko Heritage-organised activities to mark the UNESCO-supported 200th anniversary of the death of the political leader and humanitarian.

Memorandum signed

The Monaro Ngarigo people, the traditional custodians of Mt Kosciuszko, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NSW Government.

Under the Memorandum, the Southern Snowy Mountains Aboriginal Community will be formally involved in the conservation of Kosciuszko National Park with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS).
